Hubbub surrounding film was all about censorship
In a recent letter, the writer said he and his wife attended a showing of the movie “The Interview” and were very disappointed because they found no “redeeming qualities” in the movie. They wanted to “see what all the hubbub was about” but instead were subjected to 45 minutes of inane plot and profanity before they walked out.
Perhaps the writer missed the fact that the hubbub was about censorship and the right and ability to see any movie regardless of artistic merit. But the point is well made by the writer’s ability to pen his letter, regardless of the merit of its content, without censorship.
