Wrights Corners man charged with possessing numerous drugs

LOCKPORT – A Wrights Corners man, who allegedly had a wide range of drugs in his backpack at a Tim Hortons in that hamlet July 23, pleaded not guilty Thursday in Niagara County Court to a six-count indictment.

Dylan J. Simons, 21, of Lockport-Olcott Road, is charged with three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and single counts of third- and fourth-degree possession of controlled substances and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Assistant District Attorney Peter M. Wydysh said Simons allegedly discarded his backpack at the restaurant, and police found cocaine, heroin, marijuana and assorted pills inside.
