Rochester man in custody in Wyoming County

WARSAW – A 46-year-old Rochester man was jailed here on felony driving while intoxicated and other charges after a Wyoming County sheriff’s deputy found a car abandoned in a ditch on Merchant Road in the Town of Warsaw about 3 a.m. Thursday.

The car was traced to a Warsaw resident and Jeffrey D. Longhine of Rochester was found there and admitted crashing the vehicle and having a revoked driver’s license because of a 2011 DWI conviction. Longhine was found to have a blood-alcohol level of 0.14 per cent. He was being held at the Wyoming County Jail on felony DWI charges, felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and an unsafe lane change charge. Pending Warsaw Town Court proceedings on March 2 he will be released from custody once he posts $5,000 cash bail or a $10,000 bail bond.
