Jan. 29, 1990: Buffalo's ties to the Super Bowl, before the Bills ever went

Super Bowl XXIV in 1990 was the last time any football fan would have to struggle to find a connection between Buffalo and the big game.

The next year, the Bills headed to Super Bowl XXV — and then XXVI, XXVII and XXVIII — and became the only team to go to four straight Super Bowls. Also, of course, the only team to lose four straight, but the point is, football fans no longer have to stretch to find Buffalo ties to the NFL championship.

News Sports Reporter Bob Summers didn’t exactly stretch, but he did dig deep to find Western New York and Bills connections to the game in 1990.
