Winter weather advisory issued for southern Erie, Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for 1 p.m. Thursday through 10 a.m. Friday.

The advisory affects southern Erie County, as well as Wyoming, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.

The service is predicting snowfall of 4 to 6 inches across the affected regions, winds and decreased visibility.

Visibility could be reduced to less than a half mile, at times, because of the falling snow and wind gusts forecast up to 30 mph, the weather service said.
