BATAVIA – Three Buffalo men were being held on grand larceny and stolen property charges filed by State Police when the men were arrested Sunday after driving off from the Pembroke Service Area of the State Thruway, officials reported Wednesday.
Christopher A. McCullen, 43, and his brother, Pierre A. McCullen, 32, were being held in the Genesee County Jail here without bail. Craig Elston, 30, was being held on $10,000 bail. All three face proceedings in Batavia Town Court in two weeks.
After a U.S. Marine Corps captain who state police officials refused to identify, allegedly saw the three removing property from one vehicle to another in the service area he called State Police. Troopers pulled over the vehicle on the eastbound section of the Thruway outside the Town of Stafford, allegedly finding credit cards, a lap top computer and other property reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the Town of Batavia.
