Sovran Self Storage appointed Mark G. Barberio and Arthur L. Havener to its board of directors. Barberio is principal of Markapital, a business and M&A consulting firm. Havener is principal of Stampede Capital, which provides real estate consulting to publicly traded real estate investment trusts and institutional investors.


Hunt Real Estate ERA chairman and chief executive officer Peter Hunt was recognized as one of the 200 Most Powerful People in Residential Real Estate by the Swanepoel Power 200. The Power 200 includes real estate leaders from multiple sectors across the industry.


Fundraising software developer Softrek Corp. appointed Mike Swagler a software engineer. Swagler previously was a software engineer intern at the company.

The Volunteer Lawyers Project for Erie County selected Andreozzi Bluestein Weber Brown recipient of the 2014 Law Firm Commitment Award. VLP is a not-for-profit corporation that provides free civil legal services to low-income individuals and small not-for-profit groups in Erie County.


AAA Western and Central New York recently received the following recognitions: Club of the Year Award, from Disney Destinations; Best of the Best Award, from Travel Impressions; STAR Awards, Sandals Resorts; and Centurion Award, Holland America Lines. The “Disney Club of the Year” program distinguishes it as a top AAA club nationwide based on sales of Disney Cruise Line Vacations, Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. Sandals Resorts STAR Awards and Travel Impressions’ Best of the Best Award recognizes top sales producers, while Holland America Line’s Centurion Award recognizes the top 100 highest producing accounts across the United States and Canada.


Employees of ConServe, a Rochester-based accounts receivable management firm, and its matching gift program recently donated a combined contribution of $10,260 to the Buffalo City Mission and Rochester’s Open Door Mission. Employees raised the money through the Jeans for Charity program, in which employees can donate money in exchange for the option to wear jeans to work for the entire month. ConServe recently celebrated the grand opening of its new Cheektowaga center.
