Forum planned on HIV in Black America

In conjunction with National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on Feb. 6, Buffalonians will take part in a nationwide town hall forum and discussion on the “The State of HIV in Black America: The Intersection of Health, Education & Community in the Fight to End AIDS.”

The session will be streamed live at 9 a.m. from the Schomburg Research Center in New York City to Smith Auditorium on the third floor of Erie County Medical Center, 462 Grider St. A question period will follow at 10:30.

Sponsored locally by the National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS of Buffalo, it will be preceded by check-in and a continental breakfast at 8:15 a.m. and a presentation by the Buffalo chapter at 8:30. Admission is free. To register, visit
