Three Buffalo men charged in an attempted robbery

NIAGARA FALLS – Three Buffalo men suspected in the attempted armed robbery of a 7-Eleven store Sunday night on Niagara Avenue were captured shortly afterwards and face several felony charges.

Niagara Falls Police Lt. Michael Trane said the three men were stopped and found with two loaded guns in the car. Both guns had been stolen earlier.

Albert D. Richardson Jr., 32, of Pine Street; Daniel E. Rivera Jr, 20, of Linwood Avenue; and Michael T. Watson, 22, of Northhampton Avenue were all charged with attempted first-degree robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of the stolen guns.

Watson was reportedly the man who went into the store and threatened the clerk.

The clerk told police the suspect pointed the gun at him and said, “Give me everything you got. Give me everything from the register.”

But the clerk said he could see that a bullet was jammed in the gun, and he told the man to leave.

The suspect left without taking anything.

A state trooper pulled their vehicle over near 56th Street and took the three men into custody, according to Niagara Falls police.
