Slipknot’s ‘Summer’s Last Stand’ tour heads to Darien Lake

There’s no rest for Slipknot in 2015.

The Grammy Award-winning band will move right from its current world tour into its “Summer’s Last Stand” North American tour which will stop on July 29 at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center.

The packed lineup also includes Lamb Of God, Bullet For My Valentine and Motionless In White.

Tickets are $40-$70 reserved, $30 lawn and $104 for a lawn four-pack and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through, Ticketmaster or charge by phone at (800) 745-3000. Fans also have the opportunity to order advance tickets starting Tuesday through the band’s website at

Slipknot’s fifth release, “.5: The Gray Chapter,” arrived on the Billboard 200 chart at No. 1 in October, the highest debut for a hard rock record in 2014. It topped both Revolver’s “20 Best Albums of 2014” and Guitar World’s “50 Best Albums of 2014” lists, in addition to winning other accolades. Rolling Stone included Slipknot on its “20 Biggest, Boldest Comebacks of 2014.”
