LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man, who was arrested Aug. 3 for allegedly standing on Ferry Avenue and firing a handgun in the direction his own house, was arraigned Monday in Niagara County Court.
Jeremy M. Eberly, 31, pleaded not guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Police reported at the time that they took Eberly to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for a psychological evaluation after the arrest, after he said there were armed people in the house and in the bushes, with another gunman taking cover behind his car. No other armed men were found, and no one was hurt in the gunfire.
Eberly remains free on a $25,000 bail bond.
