Erie County is on call should downstate need help digging out of the blizzard that is expected to blanket the Northeast.
Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz spoke with Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo Sunday night and offered the county’s assistance, said Peter Anderson, a Poloncarz spokesman.
Numerous trucks, plows and rescue personnel from the downstate area were brought upstate to battle the November snowstorm and Erie County is ready to return the favor.
“The governor said he would call back the county executive if that was needed,” Anderson said.
