South Buffalo man arrested in stabbing

A South Buffalo man was arrested Saturday after police said he stabbed a man at South Park and Como avenues.

Joseph M. Tornabene, 43, of Southside Parkway, was charged with weapon possession and first-degree assault for allegedly stabbing an unidentified man in the upper arm at 5:40 a.m. with a pocket knife.

The victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment of his stab wound.

Police arrested Tornabene at his home where they found the knife used in the stabbing.
