Diabetes workshops set at Duke Center in Falls

NIAGARA FALLS – A series of workshops on self-management of diabetes is set to begin Feb. 6 in the John A. Duke Senior Center, 1201 Hyde Park Blvd.

The six-week program will be held every Friday from 12:30 to 3 p.m. by the Nursing Division of the Niagara County Health Department, in cooperation with the county Office for the Aging.

The program is designed to help diabetes patients maintain a more active lifestyle while making better decisions on food, physical activity and coping with the disease.

Advance registration is required by calling the Health Department at 278-1900 or the Office for the Aging at 438-3030.
