Buffalo woman arrested in alleged shoplifting attempt

TOWN OF LOCKPORT – A Buffalo woman was arrested Friday afternoon after trying to steal nearly $900 worth of merchandise from the South Transit Road Walmart store, sheriff’s deputies said.

According to reports, Pamela M. Ellender, 51, filled a shopping cart with merchandise, then walked out the front door of the store around 12:30 p.m. When confronted in the store parking lot, she reportedly left the cart behind and attempted to flee. She was later charged with petit larceny in connection with the incident.
