SCHULTZ STEWART, M. Marjorie (Phillips)

SCHULTZ STEWART - M. Marjorie (nee Phillips) A retired Kenmore elementary school teacher died December 4, 2014 at the Beechwood Home in Amherst, NY. She was 94 years old and a native of Buffalo. She graduated from Kenmore High School and from Buffalo State Teachers College Class of 1942 with a degree in Elementary Education. She was married to William J. Stewart from 1949 until his death in 1970 and to Robert H. Schultz from 1981 until his death in 2003. Mrs. Schultz was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for nearly 60 years where she was active on many church committees. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida and Europe, cooking and entertaining, reading, exercising and staying fit and attending musical performances and lectures. She was an avid bridge player and an active community volunteer especially investing her time reading to young children so that they gain the language skills for success in Elementary School. Mrs. Schultz is survived by her daughter Ann (Terry) Stewart Hack of Hopewell Junction, NY, a step daughter Barbara (Robert) Schultz Spencer of Winnetka, IL and grandchildren Laura and Keith Hack and Brian Spencer. Her brother Roger Phillips predeceased her. She is survived by her sister-in-law Eve Phillips, nephews Mark and Scott Phillips, niece Michelle Phillips Pieterczak, nephew Matthew Phillips and a cousin Donna Klemp and Marcia Mesches of Buffalo, many dear friends and extended family members were important to Marj and will greatly miss her. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 1 PM at Asbury Pointe, 50 Stahl Rd., Getzville, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice Foundation, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227; Trinity United Methodist Church, 711 Niagara Falls Blvd., Buffalo, NY 14226 or to Beechwood/Blocher Foundation, 2235 Millersport Hwy., Getzville, NY 14068.
