Give us an ‘A’

The writers at WhoWhatWear.com like the A-line skirt for spring. “With a high waist and adorably flared hem, these A-line styles are fun, flirty and flattering,” they wrote on the website. Here are three of their online picks:

• Pixie Market Stacey Belted Mod Skirt (www.pixiemarket.com, $55). This skirt is the perfect everyday flared black skirt, with one big ruffled pocket in front.

• Nasty Gal Denim The Flip Skirt (www.nastygal.com, $68). The Flip Skirt has a paneling design with top stitching detail, front pockets, medium wash, and an A-line silhouette with high waist.

• Suno Embroidered Cotton-Canvas Mini Skirt (www.net-a-porter.com, $395). Crafted from cotton-canvas, this cream-and-navy style has a wrap front and gold embroidery that creates a floral design. View the full article at www.whowhatwear.com/a-line-skirt-9.

This note from People StyleWatch magazine. “Snakes have charmed their way onto the fashion scene as the latest inspiration for bracelets, earrings and more,”

Just two examples: Naomi Watts wore a snake necklace to the Golden Globe Awards, while “So You Think You Can Dance” host Cat Deeley has been spotted in a Bulgari snake bracelet.

We knew it was coming: the Sephora + Pantone Universe collection of cosmetics. Marsala, an earthy red wine that was named the 2015 Pantone Color of the Year, is a versatile color that flatters a range of skin tones. The Sephora collection starts at $18 for Marsala Metalshine Liquid Liner or Pure Marsala Matte Lip Creme. It goes up to $39 for the Facets of Marsala Multi-Finish Eye Palette, a palette of 24 coordinating eye shades. The Shimmering Marsala Cheek Trio, $28, comes with two matte blushes and a cream highlighter.

“The colors look good on everyone and apply smoothly with the Marsala Pro Angled Blush Brush #49 ($32),” reported Nedra Rhone, of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Check it all out at Sephora stores and Sephora.com.
