Startup Grind Buffalo, the local chapter of an international organization meant to encourage networking among entrepreneurs, will hold its next event Wednesday.
Rohini K. Srihari is the guest speaker at the event, which is the first of five monthly talks planned through May. Srihari is a University at Buffalo computer scientist and veteran entrepreneur who serves as chief scientist for SmartFocus.
Startup Grind holds events in 150 cities in 65 countries. The Buffalo chapter was started last spring.
Upcoming speakers are Marnie LaVigne, CEO of Launch NY, on Feb. 25; Adrian Dayton, founder of ClearView Social, March 25; Niall Wallace, founder of InfoNaut, April 29; and Anthony Johnson, president and CEO of Empire Genomics, May 28.
The Startup Grind events run from 6 to 9 p.m. in Dig, the co-working space in the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus Innovation Center, 640 Ellicott St., with the speakers beginning at 7.
