Mayville man arrested on felony DWI and other counts

MAYVILLE – A 47-year-old Mayville man was arrested Thursday evening on felony drunk driving and other charges after he was pulled over by Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies after driving through a stop sign without stopping and nearly crashing into an emergency vehicle on Route 430 in the Village of Mayville, deputies said.

Joseph J. Graziano was found to have a blood-alcohol reading of over 0.18 percent, more than twice the state’s legal limit. He was charged with felony DWI because of a prior DWI conviction, driving with a blood-alcohol level of over 0.18 percent, felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign. He was ordered to appear in Chautauqua Town Court in several weeks.
