Woman pleads guilty to selling cocaine in Lockport

LOCKPORT – Brittany N. Fanton, 25, of Reed Street, Lockport, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Niagara County Court to selling cocaine in the city July 29.

Fanton, a former Akron resident, admitted to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and was admitted to the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment.

County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas told her that she faces up to nine years in prison if she washes out of the two-year treatment program, but success would mean a reduction of the charge to a misdemeanor with no jail time.
