Three Dunkirk suspects in custody on long gun thefts

MAYVILLE – Two Dunkirk men and a Dunkirk woman already jailed on unrelated charges were in custody at the Chautauqua County Jail here as a result of being charged Monday with the theft of several long guns during a recent King Road burglary in the Town of Sheridan, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday.

Robert S. Gee, 52; Shawn M. Taylor, 33, and Maria E. Dominguez-Gill, 22, all of East Benton St., Dunkirk are charged with second-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny. After a brief investigation the weapons were recovered and Gee and Taylor were arrested.

Dominguez-Gill was already jailed here on unrelated charges, and the burglary-linked charges will keep her jailed without bail. Sheriff’s Investigators Doug Walter and Nick Sobecki and Deputy Chad Wright worked on the case assisted by Dunkirk police.
