Portville man cleared of Franklinville snowmobile arrest

FRANKLINVILLE – Joshua Brooks, 24, of Portville, has been cleared of all charges that were placed against him for an early morning Jan. 10 snowmobile incident on Elm Street in the Village of Franklinville, Police Chief Tony W. Wolfer said Wednesday.

The chief said charges of resisting arrest and traffic charges for allegedly running a red light, reckless driving and unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle have all been dismissed because he was charged before the case was reviewed by a department supervisor and because of “evidentiary concerns.”
