People Inc. has named Bonnie R. Sloma to the newly created position of senior vice president and asked her to oversee business development and quality standards in the nonprofit’s health care operations. The agency said Sloma will help it adapt to changes in managed care driven by the state’s restructuring of health care delivery in New York. People Inc. has a significant medical network through its Elmwood Health Center and its home health care services.
Sloma is a 30-year veteran of the health care industry who most recently served as vice president of ambulatory and diagnostic services at Erie County Medical Center. The Lewiston resident is a member of Niagara County Community College’s board of trustees.
