Lily Dale, not Cassadaga, is local spiritualist enclave
I enjoy reading articles with Mary Kunz Goldman’s byline – she always has a fun spin on music and the arts. But in her review of Deborah Voigt’s autobiography, I think there was a little confusion. Unless things have changed since I grew up there, Cassadaga does not have a sign welcoming people to the “psychic capital of the world.” That is probably in Cassadaga, Fla., a spiritualist community named for Western New York’s Cassadaga. Lily Dale, on Cassadaga Lake, is the local spiritualist enclave.
