Come for a drink, stay for the show. Savoy bartenders craft cocktails the old-fashioned way in front of a captive audience. Named for the Hotel Savoy that flourished during Prohibition, Savoy Buffalo’s seasonal cocktail menu highlights the best flavors year-round, as well as serving up the classics. Ironically, the building was once the location of an old liquor store that was renovated into the new lovely space on Elmwood Avenue.
The menu is pared down, but offers just enough to nibble and eat while enjoying one of the handcrafted cocktails, like a cheese board, bruschetta and Buffalo mac and cheese bites along with a few flatbreads, salads and sandwiches.
The drinks are the biggest draw.
What’s your drink personality? Savoy Buffalo will discover if you are a Moscow Mule or about to utter your Last Words. “If you’re new or a veteran in the cocktail world, we can find a drink for you,” says General Manager Shannon Callahan.
For those whose body is a temple, Savoy features the “Fitness Cocktail” made from gluten-free vodka that is also sulfite and sodium-free with no added sugar. Drinkers receive a free pass to BikeorBar Cycling Studio (but please don’t drink and pedal).
Whiskey Wednesdays join Savoy to sample three types of whiskey for $10. Hosted by a whiskey expert, you’ll get to sample domestic and imported brands. No reservations needed. We’ll clink our glasses to that.
