DUNKIRK – City police have charged a Sixth Street man with operating a methamphetamine lab.
Angelo R. Bomasuto, 46 of 60 W. Sixth St., was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine. He was committed to jail without bail, pending arraignment.
The Chautauqua County Hazardous Materials Team and Dunkirk Fire Department were called to the home at about 9 p.m. Monday during the arrest. Four apartments in the building were evacuated and one family obtained assistance from the American Red Cross.
Police said more charges are pending against Bomasuto.
