The University at Buffalo women’s basketball team looks to win its fifth game in six starts on Monday when it travels to Big 4 rival Canisius for a 7 p.m. tip-off. Buffalo enters Monday’s game with a 6-4 record.
It will be the 38th meeting between the teams, who are meeting for the 12th consecutive season. Canisius has lost its last three starts. Alexus Malone averages 12.8 points and 9.9 rebounds (she has six double-doubles) for the Bulls (6-4).
It will be the final non-conference game for the host Griffs (4-6). Canisius junior Emily Weber leads the MAAC at 50.0 percent from three-point range. Teammate Kayla Hoohuli is third at 40.8 percent.
On Sunday, Victoria Rampado and Meghan McGuinness had 17 points each as the Niagara University fell to 5-5 following a 76-70 loss to Dartmouth at the Gallagher Center.
