THILL, Edward J.

THILL - Edward J. Age 59, of Boston, NY passed away gently on December 22, 2014. He brought sunshine into everyone's life and had an infectious energy and intense passion for life. He loved his friends and family deeply and expressed himself joyfully. Having retired from Verizon at a young age, Ed was able to direct his energy into his passions and relationships. He had a voracious desire to improve his mind, body and soul. He loved singing, drumming, and dancing (all of which he did often), and he played the guitar, albeit with more enthusiasm than ability. Eddie was always eager to lend a helping hand, and was a wonderful caretaker to his parents. He was a devoted pet owner to his dog, Koda and cat, Lizzie. He was cherished and adored by his daughter Caitlin and two sons Eric (Mary Wilson) and Michael as well as their mother, Amy. He was loved by his sister Mary Sullivan (Will Spalding) and her children, Bill and Kristi Sullivan; brother Greg Thill (Nora Thill) and his children James (Boki Kruh), Mark (Lindsey Gaudet) and Ed Thill (Amanda Thill). He will be deeply missed by his sister-in-law Sharon Gates, his niece Amie Gates (Dave Sliwinski) and their children Eli and Elana, as well as his lifelong friends Ellen and Phil Munger and countless others. Eddie was famous for saying that every meal was the best he ever ate, and every day was the best of his life. This is the imprint he left on us all, and we will carry his incredible spirit with us forever. A memorial service will be held in his honor at Wesleyan Church of Hamburg, NY on January 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM.
