LITTLE VALLEY – Three young people were injured late Saturday morning on Interstate 86, where the driver of a Ford Focus overcorrected as her car drifted onto the shoulder and drove into the median, where the car overturned.
Danielle N. Morgan, 21, of Dundee was heading west on I-86 when she lost control, ejecting two rear-seat passengers. The driver suffered an arm injury. Rachael Morgan, 16, also of Dundee, suffered internal injuries and a back injury, and Walker Kapral, 17, of Bath suffered a minor head injury.
Rachael Morgan, who was airlifted to Erie County Medical Center, was listed in stable condition. The driver and Kapral were treated in WCA Hospital, Jamestown
The driver was charged with failure to maintain her lane and driving with suspended registration. The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by state Park Police and the Seneca Nation Marshal’s Office.
