A man was attacked and stabbed three times while walking to the store in the city’s East Ferry Street-Fillmore Avenue neighborhood, police said Saturday.
The stabbing occurred in the 600 block of Woodlawn Avenue, after the victim walked out of his house headed to the store, according to police. An unknown male approached from behind and attacked him.
The assailant fled after the attack, which caught the attention of neighbors. It was at that point, the victim noticed he had been stabbed – twice in the back and one in the right shoulder.
The stabbing was reported Saturday, but the time of the incident was not included in the police report. The victim’s condition also was unknown.
