Laura Hurd and Joshua Brodie were married at 5 p.m. on Sept. 20 in Locusts on Hudson, Staatsburg, where a reception was held following the ceremony. The Rev. Rich Kirschner of United Methodist Church, Naples, Fla., heard the couple’s vows. The ceremony was co-officiated by Cantor Sandra Goodman. The bride’s parents are W. Russell Hurd of Naples, Fla., and Ana Hurd of Williamsville. The bridegroom’s parents are Scott Brodie and Susan Lewis of New York City. The bride is a graduate of Williamsville East High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Princeton University. The bride is vice president and general manager at Burt Rigid Box Inc. The groom is a graduate of Horace Mann High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Princeton University. He is a partner and portfolio manager at Arcem Capital. After a trip to Fiji and New Zealand, the couple will make their home in Manhattan.
