Kimberly Pagano, director of orientation and student leadership development at Daemen College, was selected to receive the 2015 National Association of Student Personnel Administrators Region II Outstanding Contribution to Student Leadership Programs Award. She will receive the award at the NASPA Region II annual conference in June.

Big Heart Pet Brands’ Milk-Bone bakery in Buffalo has surpassed five years of sending zero waste to landfill. Milk-Bone has recycled more than 21 million pounds of materials via its zero landfill initiative. In 2008, the facility started an aggressive recycling initiative that led to a partnership with Covanta, a world leader in sustainable waste and energy solutions. Waste from the plant is converted to electrical energy via Covanta’s waste-to-energy process.
