A Depew man wanted for larceny in North Tonawanda was arrested Monday night after his car was stopped for a loud muffler violation, Erie County Undersheriff Mark Wipperman said.
Joseph Wolski, 26, was stopped by Deputy Edward Krypel about 9:45 p.m. and found to have a suspended driver’s license and vehicle registration for failing to maintain insurance for the vehicle, police said.
Deputies said Wolski was also wanted by North Tonawanda police on a warrant for larceny. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with the registration suspended, both misdemeanors.
Wolski was turned over to North Tonawanda police.
