JAMESTOWN – Methamphetamine was discovered in a duffle bag early Tuesday by Jamestown police conducting a warrant check, officials said.

Officers said they observed two men acting suspiciously near a vehicle behind a residence on West Cowden Place about 4:40 a.m. Items used for the manufacture of methamphetamine along with a quantity of meth were discovered in a duffle bag that had been removed from the vehicle, police said.

The men, whose names were not released, were charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
