Two Lockport men face criminal charges following their arrest in connection with illegally receiving unemployment benefits, state police said Monday.
Robert D. Bentley, 56, and James P. Doxey, 34, were charged with grand larceny, falsifying business records and offering a false instrument for filing.
Troopers said Bentley collected more than $4,300 in unemployment benefits on 35 occasions while being gainfully employed. He was issued a ticket to appear in City of Lockport Court on Jan. 7.
Doxey collected more than $4,800 in unemployment benefits on 20 occasions while being gainfully employed, according to state police. He was issued a ticket to appear in City of Lockport Court on Dec. 29.
