Kilgours join Iroquois coaching staff

Buffalo Bandits assistant coach Rich Kilgour has been named the head coach for the Iroquois Nationals indoor lacrosse team, which will take part in the 2015 world championships. The tournament will stage its semifinals and finals in Buffalo in September after the opening rounds will be held in Onondaga Nation Arena just outside of Syracuse.

In addition, former Bandits coach Darris Kilgour has been selected as one of three assistant coaches for the team.

Rich Kilgour played for the Iroquois Nationals in 2003. Kilgour’s teams have won back-to-back Mann Cup championships as he served as the head coach of the Six Nations Chiefs in Canada.

Landon Miller, the assistant general manager of the Rochester Knighthawks, was picked as the team’s general manager, while Duane Jacobs and Andy Secore complete the coaching staff.
