KITTLE, George J. Jr.

KITTLE - George J., Jr. Age 81, of New Tripoli, PA, formerly of Springville, NY, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 in the home of his son, Jeffery with whom he resided. He was the husband of Judith A. (Folts) Kittle to whom he was married 55 years last June 27. Born in Colden, Erie County, NY, September 24, 1933, George was the son of the late George J. Sr. and Amelia L. (Miller) Kittle. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during a peacetime era. George was employed in the Custodial Department of Springville-Griffith Institute in Springville, NY for 11 years before retiring in 2004. Prior to that, he worked for the former Robinson Knife Manufacturing Co. in Springville, NY for 45 years. George was a former member of the East Concord Community Church, East Concord, NY, and a life member and former volunteer at the Springville Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Judith; daughter, Sharon K. Hanchett and her husband, Edward of Pittsford, NY; son, Jeffery A. Kittle and his wife, Susan with whom he resided; siblings, June C. Stachowski of East Concord, NY, Lorraine D. Downing of Bella Vista, AR, Arlene M. Itterley of Ilwaco, WA, Kenneth M. Kittle of Springville, NY, Shirley A. Burkley of Springville, NY, Beverly J. Spencer of Elba, NY, Orlin R. Kittle of Franklinville, NY; grandchildren, Christopher, Alicia, Laura, Brittany and Catie; many nieces and nephews. Service: Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in the East Concord Community Church, Route 240, East Concord, NY with the Rev. David Y. Bevington officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 6 - 8 PM, Monday and 9 -11 AM Tuesday in the SMITH-WEISMANTEL FUNERAL HOME, 271 East Main Street, Springville, NY. Interment with Military Honors will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery, Springville, NY. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Springville Volunteer Fire Department and/or the John and Dorothy Morgan Cancer Center (Lehigh Valley Hospital) both in care of the HEINTZELMAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., P.O.
