Q: I enjoyed Kristin Chenoweth’s recent PBS concert special. Will she be back on “Glee” before the show ends? – Sue Mason, Buffalo
A: The Emmy and Tony Award-winning dynamo has said she’s not sure exactly what executive producer Ryan Murphy and his team on the Fox show have in mind – if anything – for her recurring character, April Rhodes, but they’d better hurry if they want Chenoweth back.
At a certain point, her schedule won’t allow for it. Her Broadway return in “On the Twentieth Century” – teaming her with Peter Gallagher (“Covert Affairs,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”) starts previews in February before its official opening in March. Chenoweth also will be on the big screen in January, appearing with Jennifer Lopez in the thriller “The Boy Next Door.”
Q: Is there going to be another installment of the “Flowers in the Attic” series on Lifetime? There are four or five books. – Maggie DePue, Columbus, Ohio
A: The third novel, “If There Be Thorns,” will be televised by the cable network in 2015. Jason Lewis (“Sex and the City”) and Rachael Carpani (“MacLeod’s Daughters”) will assume the central roles of Christopher and Cathy … and Book No. 4 in the V.C. Andrews series, “Seeds of Yesterday,” also is being readied by Lifetime for next year, with Lewis and Carpani reprising their roles.
There was no word at this writing if the fifth and final book in the so-called Dollanganger Series, “Garden of Shadows,” also will be filmed – but with its four predecessors being made, you can assume that’s a done deal.
