Bon-Ton donates $10,000 toward Red Cross disaster relief efforts

Bon-Ton Stores in Western New York donated $10,000 to Red Cross disaster-relief efforts related to the November snowstorm that stranded many travelers and residents.

The company’s locations in Southgate Plaza, McKinley Mall, Eastern Hills Mall, Sheridan/Delaware Plaza, Lockport Mall and Summit Mall donated 2 percent of sales on Dec. 5 and 6, officials reported.

More than 175 Red Cross staff and volunteers operated or supported 19 shelters during the storm, providing 603 overnight stays and 6,696 meals, according to the organization.
