PUSH Buffalo gets more than $900,000 for renewable energy projects

PUSH Buffalo has received $902,9800 to fund renewable energy projects on three sites in its Green Development Zone on Buffalo’s West Side.

The funding comes from the New York State Energy Research Development Authority, and includes a solar project along with the Solar Liberty company to generate 250 solar photovoltaic installations in low-to-moderate income communities across Western New York.

The announcement on Thursday was made at the WASH Project Laundromat, 417 Massachusetts Ave., one of the buildings that will benefit from the PUSH project.

“This is funding that will help us in our mission within the Green Development Zone to create a new, sustainable green neighborhood with good paying local and green jobs,” said Aaron Bartley, PUSH’s executive director.
