Letter: We’re all responsible for country’s actions

We’re all responsible for country’s actions

The News recently reported on Dick Cheney’s defense of the CIA tactics and his refusal to admit that waterboarding is torture. Cheney will never admit that waterboarding is torture, unless of course, he is waterboarded, in which case he would admit to anything.

As citizens, we all share responsibility for these unjustifiable actions, both those of us who vote and those who do not. As Abraham Heschel stated, “In a democratic society, some are guilty, but all are responsible.”
