Letter: Don’t judge all hunters by the actions of a few

Don’t judge all hunters by the actions of a few

A letter that appeared recently in this column is a wonderful example of uneducated people not allowing the facts to influence their opinion. The writer foolishly stated that he found four deer carcasses and blamed hunters for poaching them in the county park. With the head and legs having been removed from the carcasses, they were obviously dumped at that location after the butchering process. With zero proof who dumped them there, all hunters were assumed guilty.

I would be curious how the writer knows the severity of the poaching problem in our county parks? As a law-obeying hunter of 35 years, I would encourage anyone who witnesses poaching to call the proper authorities.
