If you have family or friends in town and are looking for something to do this evening, you might take trip to Buffalo City Hall for a vantage point of all that is going on in the city.
From 4 to 6 p.m. today, guests will take a free tours of the resurgence by Buffalo from either the 28th floor Observation Deck or from the 25th floor handicap-access Observation Deck (rarely open to the public). Aspire Technology Today’s award-winning photographs of Buffalo also will be on exhibit, along with artwork by School 84 students.
Tours of the Art Deco building, compliments of Preservation Buffalo Niagara, also will be available. A video montage of Buffalo will be shown in Council Chambers on the 13th floor, where guests will have an opportunity to tell their own Buffalo Love Stories.
A mini Taste of Buffalo will take place in the grand Lobby, with food from several downtown restaurants like Osteria 166, Bacchus, Bambino, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Soho and Snooty Fox, as well as Flying Bison beer and Arrowhead Spring wines.
Art and music by the Buffalo Public Schools will entertain the guests.
Guests can Shop Local at the BuffaLove Gift Fair featuring Buffalo-themed gifts by area artisans.
Tickets are just $10 online or at the door with the donation of a gift for a disadvantaged child for the News Neediest initiative and/or a non-perishable food donation for the Food Bank of WNY. Proceeds benefit the Food Bank of WNY.
