CAPROW, Jack

CAPROW - Jack Of Scottsdale, Arizona, formerly of Williamsville, NY, November 22, 2014, beloved son of the late Louis and Ida Caprow; cherished husband of the late Mildred "Minnie" Caprow (nee Snitzer); loving father of Steven and Candace (Steven Polowitz), late Jeffrey; devoted grandfather of Jarrod, Jasyn (Anna), Jori, Marisa, Jake, Mathew, and Jillian; predeceased by sisters Dorothy (Harry) Gantz and Francis (Burt) Glaser, and brother Ralph Caprow; also survived by dear sister-in-law Jean Caprow; dear brother-in-law and sister-in-law Isadore & Cis Snitzer, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jack served as a Photographer's Mate First Class for the Naval Air Corps in World War II, where he earned the undefeated Middleweight Championship for boxing in the British West Indies. A passionate athlete since high school, he participated in football, basketball and track, and was recently inducted to the Buffalo Public School Football Harvard Cup Hall of Fame for his outstanding football career at Seneca High School. An inductee to the Buffalo PAL Boxing Museum, he dedicated his later life to teaching boxing technique as a volunteer at the Club SAR in Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley, Scottsdale, the YMCA, Buffalo or to Club SAR, Scottsdale. Memorial service to held at future date.
