Vehicle crashes into tree during physical dispute

A vehicle crashed into a tree near the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus late Wednesday following a physical dispute between a man and a woman, Central District police reported.

The driver, Michael A. Csanadi, 52, is accused of hitting the 31-year-old woman from Fort Erie, Ont. as they drove home about 11:15 p.m. from the Buffalo Sabres game, according to the report.

The woman suffered injuries to her face including pain, bleeding and swelling, said police, adding that She hit the steering wheel during the argument, causing the vehicle to crash into tree in the 700-block of Ellicott Street, police said.

Csanadi was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree harassment.
