There's a hearing this afternoon with the Department of Player Safety involving Patrick Kaleta. This time, the Buffalo Sabres forward is the victim.
Adam Lowry of the Winnipeg Jets faces supplemental discipline after he hit Kaleta from behind at First Niagara Center Wednesday night. The shot drove Kaleta face-first into the glass behind the Buffalo net with 5:54 left in the second period. Kaleta left the ice bleeding from his mouth but returned for the third period.
Lowry received a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding.
