KING, John D.

KING - John D. A longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on Friday, November 21, 2014 in Buffalo General Hospital. He was 54.
He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 9, 1960, the son of June Camann King of Amherst and the late John W. King. John was a graduate of the former LaSalle Senior High School, playing the trumpet in its band. He also attended tractor trailer school. He worked for First Source, a candy manufacturing company in Kenmore and for 17 years he worked as a cab driver for LaSalle Cab Company. John was a avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, JoAnn (Howard) Simon of Amherst and a nephew, Jonathan Simon of Amherst. He was predeceased by his father John and his twin, James King as an infant. Friends may call Saturday afternoon in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where memorial services will be held at 2 PM with the Rev. Erwin Brese officiating. The interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials, if desired, may be made to the Mental Health Association in Niagara County, 36 Pine Street, Lockport, NY 14094 or to Grace Lutheran Church, 736 Cayuga Drive, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
