State parole officer makes drug bust on East Side

A state parole officer discovered a drug packaging operation Tuesday morning in a home on the city’s East Side, Buffalo police reported.

Police found marijuana, heroin and suspected powder cocaine just before 10 a.m. in the home at 615 Goodyear Avenue, according to a report.

Also discovered in a bathroom crawl space was a loaded pistol reported stolen in Oklahoma, police said. Four scales, packaging material and a bottle containing hydrocodone tablets were also found, police said.

Demar Greene, 29, faces charges including third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
