Hamburg man takes plea deal in Lockport domestic violence case

LOCKPORT – A former City of Lockport man, now living in Hamburg, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors Monday to settle an indictment that accused him of beating his ex-wife twice.

Matthew J. Siuda III, 32, of Woodway Drive, admitted to second-degree menacing and second-degree criminal contempt, and was told by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas that she is included to accept a prosecution recommendation of a probation sentence. She will make the call Feb. 26.

Siuda admitted to repeatedly following the woman in July 2013 and of violating an order of protection by going to her home Dec. 10. The original indictment accused him of choking the woman, kicking her and ramming her head into the floor.
