LEWISTON – Robert Angiolella and Dan Kolenda had two goals each as the Niagara University men’s hockey team won its third game in a row beating Army, 6-1, on Saturday in a game played before 1,100 at the Dwyer Arena.
Eleven Purple Eagles found their way onto the scoresheet. Forward Isaac Kohls added a goal and two assists. Forward Stanislav Dzakhov had his second assist in as many games. Hugo Turcotte had a goal and an assist, giving him a team-leading eight points.
Goaltender Jackson Teichroeb, in making his sixth start of the season, had 27 saves to even his record at 3-3. He stopped 13 shots in the third period.
Niagara built a 5-1 lead at end of two periods. NU improves to 3-9 overall, 3-5 in the American Hockey Association.
Josh Richards scored Army’s goal in the second period.
Niagara’s next start is Dec. 5 when Holy Cross comes to town for a 7 p.m. puck drop.
